Executive Summary

1. Random response has been added to the program. The following random analyses
can now be performed:
a. Power Spectral Density functions (PSDF)
b. Auto Correlation (ATOL)
c. Root Mean Square (RMS)
d. Cumulative Root Mean Square (CRMS)
e. Number of Zero Crossing
These analyses can be applied to displacements, velocities, accelerations, elements stresses, strain and forces.

2. The adjoint sensitivity method has been improved to include LAMA responses. Now buckling problems with large numbers of design variables can be solved more efficiently.

3. New responses have been added to topology optimization. Now structural moment of inertias, center of gravity, displacement magnitudes and relative displacments can be referenced in TRESP1.

4. Multiple displacement responses per loadcase case are now allowed in topology optimization. TRESP1 now allows multiple grid identification numbers for the DISP response.

5. Compatibility with MSC.Nastran has been increased. Output2 files now are more compatible than before. MPC data now accepts 0.0 coefficients.

6. Eigenvector and modal element strain energy output requests can now be filtered using grid and element SET data, respectively.

7. The lumped mass implementation has been enhanced. Previously, the presence of and second order elements would automatically trigger the use of consistant mass matrices for all elements, even if lumped mass was requested. Now, only second order elements will use consistent mass if lumped mass is requested.

8. Matching response values has been enhanced. A new data entry data that allows for weight factors has been added (DMATCH2). The matching optimization options (beta method and leaste square methos) has been improved.

9. The latest versions of the DOT (v5.2) and BIGDOT (v2.0) optimizers have been incorporated.

10. The LENVEC executive control command has been modified to allow the number to have a K or M suffix to indicate thousands or millions, respectively. This allows LENVEC of one billion or greater to be specified in the input file. Previously such large LENVECs had to be specified from the command line.
